A group of 23 female students from three different tertiary institutions in Accra’s Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency have given John Dumelo’s political campaign for his second run for office GHC 1,850.
The money was given to Dumelo on March 14 during a brief ceremony in his office by students from the University of Ghana, Legon, University of Professional Studies, Accra, and Knustford University.
The actor and businessman thanked the donor on Facebook and urged voters to support efforts to restore the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to its former glory.
Dumelo’s bid for re-election is not guaranteed as he must first win the support of his party delegates in the upcoming primaries.
He is up against Fred Nuamah, a friend of 20 years, who he accuses of stabbing him in the back by also running for the position.
