Abdul Mumin Issah has been reinstated as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly.
“I wish to inform you that H. E. the President of the Republic in response to recommendations made by the Western Regional Coordinating Council, has approved for the reinstatement of Mr. Abdul Mumin Issah as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly.”
In a letter signed by Hon Daniel Botwe, the Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah is to hand over the administration of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to the MCE.
Issah was suspended in February after spending one night in police custody for a road traffic offence and alleged assault of a police officer
Police in the Western Region on Thursday, February 3, 2022, arrested Issah for an alleged motor traffic offence, verbal assault, and offensive conduct against a police officer.
The court granted him GHC100,000 bail on one charge and a self-recognisance bail on the other.
He was granted bail after spending one night in police custody for a road traffic offence and alleged assault of a police officer.
