AGM Petroleum Ghana Ltd (AGM) and its owners have opted to abandon the South Deep Water Tano (SDWT) block after carefully reviewing all possibilities, according to a corporate statement.
According to the statement, AGM has contributed significantly in Ghana by drilling two ultra-deepwater wells, including the Nyankom find, and maturing the subsurface understanding for the benefit of Ghanaian authorities and other industry participants.
“AGM is an independent company and the decision has no implication for Aker Energy’s plans in Ghana,” the statement added.
