President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to deliver the State of the Nation Address to Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
This complies with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which requires the President to state the State of the Nation to Parliament at the opening of each session and before its dissolution.
The speech is scheduled to emphasise the administration’s primary policy goals for the year, as well as offer details on how the government expects to manage current economic conditions.
The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, announced the update in Parliament on Tuesday, saying, “Mr Speaker, in compliance with Article 67 of the Constitution, H.E the President will present to the house a statement on the State of the Nation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Honourable Members are urged to volunteer for the work ahead.”
This will be President Akufo-Addo’s final address to Parliament.
