President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in the United Arab Emirates for the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (UAE).
On Saturday, he left Ghana (14 January 2023).
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is a global initiative to promote sustainable development and advance economic, social, and environmental progress that is supported by the UAE and its clean energy powerhouse Masdar.
In order to discuss and engage on bold climate action and innovations that will ensure a more sustainable world for future generations, ADSW, which was founded in 2008, brings together heads of state, policy makers, industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and youth.
President Akufo-Addo will then depart Abu Dhabi on Thursday (19 January) for a six-day private visit to London.
He was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Minister for Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr Kwaku Afriyie, and officials from the President’s Office and the Foreign Ministry.
President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Wednesday (25 January).
