Two friends of Osei Michael, the barber who is accused of killing his girlfriend at Akyem Nsutam close to Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region, have been taken into custody by personnel of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
On Thursday, Osei Michael, better known by his stage name Emeka, is accused of stabbing his 18-year-old girlfriend Abigail Asare, who had come to see him after school administration ordered all students to leave for a brief break and go home.
According to OilCity Radio sources, his friends were taken into custody by the police on Sunday to aid them in investigation to enable the police apprehend Emeka, who has been on the run since he carried out the heinous feed.
The Kyebi Divisional Police, who have been searching for the suspect Emeka, have vowed to leave no stone unturned in bringing him to justice.
