Alan Kyerematen has handed over to caretaker Trade Minister Samuel Abu Jinapor following his resignation last Thursday (5 January) to pursue his presidential ambition.
His resignation took effect on Monday, January 16, 2023, and during a brief handover ceremony at the trade ministry, the former trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa briefed Jinapor on the operations of the ministry and presented his handing over notes.
Jinapor, for his part, stated that he is committed to working with all stakeholders and partners to realize President Nana Akufo- Addo’s vision.

“I pledged my commitment to work with all stakeholders and partners to steer the affairs of this Ministry until a substantive minister is appointed,” Jinapor, who is the substantive minister for lands and natural resources tweeted after the event.
