The Ministry of Education has refuted allegations that there is food shortages in Senior High Senior schools which may result to the closure of schools.
“The Ministry of Education has noted with surprise news publications and media discussions which purport an imminent closure of some Senior High Schools due to the shortage of food.”
This comes after Alavanyo Senior School in a statement made a request for food to enable them feed students.
In a statement dated October 11, 2022 revealed that checks by the ministry indicates that adequate supplies have been made to the schools in question.
The Ministry however takes “cognizance of recent disruptions within the food supply chain.”
It therefore assured the public of its commitment and willingness in providing quality and timely supply of foods to all SHS across the country.
