The Black Galaxies will now play Niger in the quarter-final clash of the ongoing TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
Ghana will play their opponents from Niger on Saturday after placing second in Group C.
On Thursday afternoon, the delegation will fly from their base in Constantine to Oran in order to get ready for the quarterfinals.
The Black Galaxies finished Group C with six points, three points behind group winner Madagascar, who had nine points after routing Sudan 3-0 on Monday (23 January).
Due to Morocco’s withdrawal from the competition, the CAF Organizing Committee decided to award all three teams three points.
The winner of the quarterfinal clash between Ghana and Niger will face the winner of the game between Madagascar and Mozambique which will also be played on Saturday.
