Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, better known by his stage name Black Sherif, was named Artiste of the Year.
On Saturday (6 May), the awards ceremony was held at the Accra International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena.
Black Sherif defeats Sarkodie, Camidoh, King Promise, and Piesie Esther to win the grand prize.
The “Kwaku the Traveller” hitmaker also took home the Best Music Video, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Best Hiplife Song of the Year awards.
Piesie Esther, his closest rival, won two awards: Best Gospel Song with “Way3 me yie” and Best Gospel Artiste of the Year.
