The MP for Kwesimintsim Dr. Prince Hamid Armah has admonished business owners and promoters in the Sekondi-Takoradi area to choose Kwesimintsim when considering a location to site their businesses.
He was speaking at the opening of Oil City Radio, a new radio station in Kwesimintsim in the Western Region on Monday 30th May 2022.
“I thank the promoters of the station for establishing their business in my constituency and encourage other businesses to do so. As a Member of Parliament, I remain committed to supporting the growth and development of private enterprises in my constituency, and OilCity Radio will be no exception,” he said.
The legislator expressed his firm belief in the media as a tool for societal transformation and urged the new media house to serve as a platform to amplify the voice of the people and chart a path that fosters development.
“I am a firm believer in the media as an active agent for development and hope that OilCity Radio 95.9 will amplify the voice of the people and foster development in the oil city in particular, and Western Region in general.”
The new radio station, OilCity Radio 95.9 is expected to serve Kwesimintsim and other communities within the metropolis to educate and sensitize locals on the development agenda of the regional administration and project business opportunities in these areas.
