The Member of Parliament for Essikadu – Ketan, Joe Ghartey has started the construction of culverts for the people of Mempeasem. This in response to demands from members of the community for culverts to be done in the area to stop perennial floodings being experienced.
Residents of Mempeasem/Ngyiresia electoral area have had to deal with pockets of flood during the rainy season every year.
The construction, which is currently underway, is expected to ease the residents from the floods.
