Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, Hon Dr. Prince Hamid Armah on Friday eugolise the late former MP for Shama, saying he carried himself with dignity and poise, yet cooperative in all engagements with all his colleagues.
Dr. Armah said this on the floor of the House on Friday during an eugolised statement.
Hon Ato Panford died on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the GPHA Hospital in Takoradi.
Dr. Armah stated that his contribution to the passage of critical legislations that advanced the interests of Ghanaians cannot be overemphasized.
“With one accord, we recount a few of the deeds of a man who was an astute expert in International Trade and Commerce and distinguished himself as an Industrialist with close to 3 decades of experience across both the Private and Public sectors. His role as a Senior Advisor of Enterprise Audit of The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) National Coordinating Office, has helped firmly establish and prominently position AfCFTA as the world’s largest free trade area, bringing together the 55 countries of the African Union and eight (8) Regional Economic Communities,” he explained.
According to him, Hon Panford beyond his political career, was a man of impeccable character, a devoted family man, and a loyal friend to many.
“He was known for his humility, kindness and unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence in all his endeavors,” Dr. Armah added.
He therefore assured family and friends of the late MP of the House’s support to assuage their pain.
“We will join them in mourning his passing, and we pray for God’s comfort and strength to be with them during this difficult time.”
