Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel “The Game Boy” Tagoe will fight for the first time this year on April 8 against Keyshawn Davis.
Tagoe of Ghana will defend his record of never being knocked out in a fight since suffering a fifth-round technical knockout in his first professional fight against Lante Addy in June 2004.
The upcoming fight will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA. This is neither boxer’s first fight in the lightweight division.
Davis’ fight in April will be his first over 10 rounds after excelling in eight-round bouts in his fledgling professional career since winning silver at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Davis is ESPN’s Prospect of the Year for 2022, with seven wins in seven fights, while Tagoe has 32 wins and two losses in his career, including a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Garcia last year.
The Davis-Tagoe fight kicks off a fight card that also includes unbeaten lightweight contender Shakur Stevenson facing Japan’s Shuichiro Yoshino.
