Dr. Atsu Dodor, Western Region’s Deputy Director of Health, in -charge of Clinical Care, has revealed that close to five more infected COVID-19 patients were likely to be declared clinically “recovered”, if their second test results prove negative for COVID-19.
In an interview this morning on the Jolly Breakfast show on Skyy Power FM, Dr. Dodor revealed their first test reults turned out negative, adding that they are being prepared for their final test before discharge if it comes out negative again.
“First negative result is in, and we are waiting for the second negative result before we can conclude they have recovered”, he mentioned.
Dr. Dodor also said in the coming weeks more infected persons were likely to test negative for the virus, as they intensify their treatment of infected persons.
The Western Region cases count stands at 111, with one recovery and the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis has the highest number of 44 cases.
