The Ghana Police Service administration has begun internal disciplinary actions against some of its officers who engaged in improper behaviour earlier this week near the Atwima Yabi-Dida section in the Ashanti Region.
“The Police have taken note of a viral video in which some police officers are seen exchanging words, and we wish to state that this incident occurred on the morning of July 20, and investigations commenced into it that very day.”
Three officers from the Formed Police Unit (FPU) are accused of allegedly intimidating the head of the Foase District Police Supt. Albert Quansah.
The FBU officers who allegedly threatened to end the life of the Commander during the heated argument got enraged when he cautioned the officials after seeing them conduct a motor check on the Atwima Yabi-Dida stretch on 20th July 2022.
“We would like to assure the public that the due internal disciplinary process of the Service is being applied in dealing with the matter,” the statement added.
