In a passionate address, the Education Manifesto Chair, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite and prevent power from slipping into the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 elections. He cautioned that failing to secure victory would result in Ghanaians holding the party accountable for the loss.
Dr. Hamid Armah who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Kwesiminstim Constituency and Deputy Minister for Works and Housing highlighted the significant achievements of past and present NPP administrations, including the transformational work of President Kufuor and the development strides under the current Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.
He emphasized that these successes, particularly the introduction of crucial social intervention programs like the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the Free School Feeding Programme and the Free SHS policy, should motivate the party to work harder to retain power.
He praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, calling Dr. Prempeh a “workaholic” who has consistently delivered for the country. He expressed confidence that their leadership would propel Ghana forward if elected.
Dr Hamid Armah urged all NPP members to engage in grassroots campaigning, including house-to-house and door-to-door efforts, to spread the message of the party’s accomplishments and vision for the future.
He concluded by reminding members that the responsibility lies with them to ensure the NPP remains in power, as failure to do so would be unforgivable in the eyes of Ghanaians.
