The police has stated that GHC2.5 million that was obtained from suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, also referred to as NAM1, has been deposited at the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
According to a statement released by the police on Tuesday (October 24), “on the advice of the Office of the Attorney General, on Friday, 20th October 2023, received an amount of GHC2.5 million from suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1.”
According to the Bank of Ghana (BoG), “The said amount has been deposited in the Police Exhibit account for the attention of the court.”
The sum is related to inquiries into petitions filed by MenzGold Ghana Company Limited and Brew Marketing Consult Limited against suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1, that are currently before the Accra High Court.
The police statement continued, “We would like to state that the court would make the decision on the disbursement of the money.”
