The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kwesimintsim Constituency yesterday inaugrated both the Electoral Area and Polling Station campaign teams respectively for both the presidential and parliamentary elections in December. The ceremony took place at the Takoradi Senior High School Assembly Hall.
In attendance for the event was the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, Western Regional NPP Organizer and his deputy, Western Regional NPP Treasurer, the Constituency first Vice- Chairman, the Constituency Women’s Organizer, the Constituency Youth Organizer, Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, Kwesimintsim NPP Loyal Ladies, Alpha Patriots, Armah ladies, as well as general party members and sympathizers.
Taking his turn to addressing the mammoth gathering, the Regional Organizer, Mr. Ganiyu Abdul Mohammed tasked the polling station executives to work assiduously to retain the party in power by adopting a grassroots- based campaigning strategy, as well as highlighting the numerous achievements chalked under the Nana Akufo- Addo led adminstration in the last three and half years to people in their communities. He also admonished them to put the seeming bickering and divisions behind and support the Parliamentary Candidate, as the era of primaries was over and uniting was the only force for victory come December 7.
In addition, the Parliamentary Candidate for Kwesimintsim Constituency, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah stated that it was only the NPP that could be trusted to truly develop this country, and so urged them to aggressive in selling the good works of the NPP government. As a grassroot person himself, he stressed that he would provide them with the neccessary support required to make their work as polling station executives effective in the course of campaigning to secure four more years for President Akufo- Addo and, to support his first-term bid as Member of Parliament for the Kwesimintsim Constituency.
