As the NPP gears up for its Parliamentary Primaries across the country, Dr Prince Hamid Armah, Executive Secretary for the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), and an aspiring NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Kwesimintsim constituency has called for a debate with the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Mensah.
Speaking on Radio 360, 90.1fm and Empire 102.7fm with Kwame Malcom, Dr Armah threw a challenge for an issue – based debate between himself and the sitting MP.
Dr. Armah said, “I think that the people of Kwesimintsim need to be given the opportunity to assess the two candidates and for them (delegates) to decide “.
The Kwesimintsimobserver.com, upon receipt of that information got up close with some NPP delegates in the constituency. Many of the delegates welcomed that idea, and expressed their readiness to see the two candidates engage in an issue-based campaign for the delegates to make an informed decision on the choice of candidate for the constituency.
One of the delegates said, “we beg Hon. Joe Mensah to accept the challenge. The clock is ticking. We delegates deserve to know what our leaders are offering. Hon Joe Mensah, please accept the challenge “.
All attempts to get Hon Joseph Mensah to respond to this challenge from his contender has since proven futile.
