American rapper, Meek Mill has issued an unequivocal apology to Ghanaians following his video shoot at the Jubilee House.
The rapper received a massive backlash after posting a video on Instagram that was supposed to be a preview of his new song.
my apologies to the people [of Ghana]… We still gonna push to make the connection between black people in America and Africa… What I’m trying to do is more than a video, and you should see [more] coming soon. My apologies to the office [of the President] also”.
He stated that the video was not intended to offend Ghanaians in any way.
Meek Mill and his crew were captured in a viral video rapping and dancing at the Jubilee House after being invited by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
His visit to the White House came after he performed at the Afronation Concert on December 29th.
Later, the rapper and his crew took some shots in front of the lectern, which is typically used by the President during national addresses.
Meek Mill and his crew also took drone shots of the Jubilee House’s forecourt.
Some Ghanaians, however, were outraged by the news and took to social media to criticize Meek Mill and the Akufo-Addo administration.
