Majority leader, Mr Alexander Afenyo Markin has described the actions by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin yesterday as strange and disappointing
He said, there was agreement as number of items to be taken by the House when they met at the leadership meeting but Mr Speaker refused to allow all those planned items to go through.
Mr Afenyo Markin added that, it was very strange that, Mr Speaker failed to allow leadership of the House to even make an input or comment but went ahead straight to adjourn and House after making his views known on the letter from the Presidency to Parliament.
The leader, also question the attitude of the minority during the proceedings for seated unconcerned to allow Mr Speaker to do what he did. He asked, whether it was a plan thing between the Speaker and the minority caucus.
The leader made these comments last night in press conference soon after Mr Bagbin adjourned the House
