John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has provided the clearest indication of who his running mate will be in the upcoming 2024 elections.
According to Mr. Mahama, the person was a Minister in his administration and carried out his responsibilities with diligence.
John Mahama told NDC supporters in the Bono East Region that the running mate selection process will take place the following year.
“He’s well-known, resourceful, and modest; he was a member of my government. We will choose the running mate next year in accordance with our party’s regulations,” Mr. Mahama said.
In the elections of 2024, the former president is running for reelection.
In the general elections of 2016 and 2020, Mr. Mahama’s running mate was Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
