Popular actor and film producer, Fred Nuamah has announced his intention to run for the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary seat in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
In the general elections of 2020, renowned actor John Dumelo ran for a position on the NDC ticket but fell short of the required votes, losing to Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
However, it’s unclear whether Mr. Dumelo is interested in the seat again.

Fred Nuamah is best known for his role in the film ‘The Game,’ which he also directed.
He is the founder and CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards and Ghana TV Series Awards, an annual award ceremony that recognizes excellence in Ghana’s film industry.
