Former president John Dramani Mahama has once again urged party supporters to come in tandem ahead of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) primary elections.
On Saturday, May 13, the opposition NDC is anticipated to hold its presidential and parliamentary elections, during which the party will choose parliamentary candidates and a flagbearer to run as the party’s candidate in the general elections of 2024.
On the NDC’s platform, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, who is running for re-election, made these remarks in Bimbilla as part of his tour of the Northern Region.
“Everyone has his supporters, there’s no point saying this person supported the winning team, so we will stay aside. All of us are NDC, let’s support each other after the primaries,” Mr. Mahama advised.
Former president John Mahama, who served only one term, is vying for re-election after losing to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the general elections of 2016 and 2020.
