President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident that the new Finance Ministry leadership would help the country overcome its present economic issues.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the nomination of Dr. Amin Adam as Finance Minister and Abena Osei Asare as Minister of State at the Finance Ministry will result in beneficial outcomes.
At a meeting with the International Monetary Fund’s visiting Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, at Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo stated that the changes at the Finance Ministry were required.
“We will ensure that we remain completely committed to the plan. Since last year, our administration has undergone significant changes, including the replacement of the finance minister. Our new Finance Minister is an ambitious and intelligent young guy. And these are the ones who are working with your authorities to complete the transaction for us.
“We have every expectation that we will continue the path on which we are and that is the most important aspect of your visit and the message that you have and we believe that the path that we are chattering on is the right one.”
