The National Petroleum Authority has sanctioned nine Petroleum Service Providers (PSPs) for engaging what it describes as “illicit third-party trading” of petroleum products.
These PSP are: Bello Petroleum, Jas Petroleum, Oval Energy, Kros Energy, Safety Petroleum, Santol Energy, Riseglobe Energy, Sayon Energy and Cigo Energy.
“That Bello Petroleum will pay a fine of GHS65,000.00 comprising GHS10,000 for engaging in Third Party Supplies for the first time and GHS110,00.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products,” a statement for NPA said.
“That Oval Energy will pay a fine of GHS245,000.00 comprising GHS100,000.00 for engaging in Third Party Supplies for the first time and GHS235,00.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.
“That Kros Energy will pay a fine of GHS295,000.00 comprising GHS100,000.00 for engaging in a Third-Party Supplies for the first time and GHS285,00.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.”
NPA, therefore advised these PSPs to comply with these instructions else “will attract an additional one-month suspension of your operation in the petroleum downstream industry.”
