The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will begin accepting nominations for parliamentary primaries in constituencies where the party has no representation on Tuesday, July 11.
The nomination period will end on Thursday, August 10, with elections scheduled to take place between September and December.
According to the party, male aspiring parliamentary candidates must pay a non-refundable filing fee of GH35,000, while women and people with disabilities pay half the fee.
Aspirants have been urged to follow the party’s constitution and use the proper channels to channel any grievances that may arise.
Setting a date for the party’s internal elections was hampered by delays since the National Executive Council struggled to pick a date for the polls and had to amend its initial timetable.
