A former National Service personnel of First Atlantic Bank in Accra has filed a lawsuit against one of the bank’s managers, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, for allegedly failing to keep promises made in their alleged intimate relationship.
Deborah Seyram Adablah sued a Director of Finance, Mr Kwasi Nimako, and he is expected to appear before Friday, January 27.
The suit has also been joined by the First Atlantic Bank.
According to the writ of summons obtained by oilcityradio.com, the plaintiff, whose national service period ended in July 2021, admits to being in a relationship with the married Ernest Kwasi Nimako because her happiness at work was jeopardized if she did not give in to the relationship.
She goes on to say that she turned down a permanent position after her National Service because the manager promised to make her life easier by paying her rent, providing business capital, getting her a new car, and even divorcing his substantive wife for her, among other things.
However, it was noted in the writ that the manager did well to fulfill some of his responsibilities until their relationship became complicated.
She is now demanding that the remaining promises be fulfilled, including payment of the remaining two-year rent and transfer of ownership of the car he purchased for her as part of the promises.
The suit was joined by the First Atlantic Bank, which was accused of allowing senior officers to enter into relationships with unwilling subordinates while using the females as bait to win customers for the company.
