One person has been reported dead after being trapped under rubble shortly after a three-story building collapsed in Nanakrom, Adentan Municipality, Accra.
This incident occurs only a week after a similar incident in Madina. The most recent incident, which occurred Thursday evening, also resulted in one person being injured.
In an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah, stated that the injured person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
He stated that after hours of searching, personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) were able to extract the deceased on Friday morning.
Mr Noi Adumah also stated that police are investigating the incident.
The latest building collapse comes just days after the Police arrested the Supervisor of another three-story building that collapsed in Adentan, Accra, on Monday.
One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of the under-construction structure.
