The NPP Communications Director for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, Mr. Ebenezer Anane Atuahene, has rejected claims that the termination of Gilbert Asmah’s appointment as the MCE for Tarkwa Nsuaem can be blamed on party members in the constituency.
Mr. Atuahene believes that Gilbert Asmah’s dismissal could have largely be based on the President’s assessment of his performance as an MCE over the period.
Reacting to allegations that party faithfuls instigated his sacking because many could not benefit when he was at the helm of the Municipality affairs, Mr. Atuahene dismissed those assertions stating that many party faithfuls are gainfully employed, and would not need the support of Gilbert Asmah to survive.
” It cannot be true that party members caused Mr. Gilbert Asmah to lose his hob as the MCE for Tarkwa, and most probably the termination of his appointment was based on the President’s assessment of his performance. It cannot also be true that party members needed certain favours from Gilbert Asmah which he (Gilbert Asmah) declined, which led to the President revoking his appointment. For instance, I (Ebenezer Anane Atuahene) is gainfully employed as a head teacher so are many other party members in the constituency”, he told Kojo Brace on the Jolly Breakfast Show.
