Physician assistants who graduated three years ago are demanding that the government assign them to various health institutions.
According to the group, the Ministry of Health’s processes to ensure that they are posted to health centres across the country have been delayed.
On Tuesday, April 25, a group of unemployed physician assistants demonstrated outside the Ministry of Health to demand employment.
Years after years, physician assistants who graduate from various health institutions have petitioned authorities to hire them after graduation, but their requests appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
They have occasionally protested in order to emphasise their demands.
Unemployed health professionals protest at the Ministry of Health, demanding immediate employment.
The protest is necessary because all previous attempts to get the government to send them to health facilities have failed.
