Hon Dr. Prince Hamid Armah has been sworn in as Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, among 24 new ministers and deputy ministers, by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The ceremony, held at Jubilee House, marked a significant step in the President’s efforts to ensure that all citizens have access to growth and prosperity opportunities.
Dr. Prince Hamid Amah will assist, the Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
President Akufo-Addo in his address emphasized the importance of the new appointees working diligently to achieve the promises made to the people of Ghana. He administered the Oaths of Office, Secrecy, and Allegiance, expressing confidence in their ability to make significant contributions during the final seven months of his term.
He reminded the appointees of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) commitment to serving Ghanaians with honesty and competence. The President also stressed the importance of promptly filing their asset declarations and maintaining integrity in their public duties.
Parliament approved the ministers’ nominations on Friday, May 17, 2024.
