Ghanaian dancehall artist Livingstone Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has declared his support for the Green Ghana Project with a pledge to courting publicity for the exercise.
The 2022 Green Ghana project seeks to create a collective action toward the restoration of degraded landscapes in the country, mitigate climate change and inculcate in the youth the values of planting, nurturing trees, enhancing the livelihoods of communities, and beautifying the environment.
At a meeting held last Tuesday, June 7 with the Honourable Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Stonebwoy pledged to use his social media handles, with millions of followers, to create public awareness and interest.
Hon. Jinapor also noted that protecting the environment does not involve politics, religion, or ethnic colourization. Therefore, he urged Ghanaians to participate in the initiative to protect the country’s forest cover.
