A two-unit classroom block with offices and a urinal bay has been completed in Israel, a Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality suburb.
The Mineral Development Fund (MDF) provided funding for the project.
In a statement to the media, Israel’s Chief of Staff, Nana Kuranchin III, expressed his entire happiness with the gesture and praised the Assembly and the Member of Parliament for their tremendous support to the community.
He further requested that the Hon. MP and MCE intervene immediately to address the community’s problems.
Hon. George Mireku Duker, Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, responded to his plea by assuring them of a better road network and a well-developed neighbourhood.
He commended the Hon. MCE and his Assembly technocrats for guaranteeing a better Tarkwa-Nsuaem.
Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Municipal Chief Executive, announced the Assembly’s intention to continue building the school block.
He also urged Israel’s ‘Nananom’ to preserve and secure the remaining plots of land for future development initiatives that will benefit the community, particularly its youth.
On Monday, October 9, 2023, Hon. Kessie completed his quarterly customary community visitation to Israel and Kenyankor.
