Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia On Wednesday revealed that commercial taxi drivers in the Greater Accra Region will soon be linked to a digital system similar to the electronic platforms used by Uber and Bolt, allowing the public to use their services from anywhere in the region.
In addition, the Vice President urged politicians to focus on finding solutions to the country’s challenges rather than insults and propaganda.
The Vice President was addressing the opening ceremony of the 46th General Council Meeting of the Church of Pentecost, which was held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa-Fetteh, in the Central Region.
During his report on the “State of the Church” at the 46th Session of the General Council Meeting of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, paid tribute to leadership for their contributions to the church.
During his five-year tenure, the church’s membership increased by 7.9%, with a total membership of 3,597,955 as of December 2022.
The European Commission gave a 2.69 million Euro grant to Pentecost University and five other outstanding worldwide institutions to explore artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, and robotics.
While the church’s youth and children’s ministries, women’s ministry, education, and health programs were all successful, Apostle Nyamekye expressed disappointment with the nationwide outbreak of cocoa disease and the ongoing challenges that are impeding church growth in cocoa-growing areas.
