DR ARMAH 2020 REJECTS SCURRILOUS ALLEGATIONS ABOUT CAP SCHEME
The Dr Armah for Kwesimintsim 2020 has taken note of another desperate attempt by some individuals to attack the reputation of Dr Prince Hamid Armah, a candidate for the New Patriotic Party’s upcoming primaries in Kwesimintsim.
After several futile attempts to gain unearned advantage through falsehoods and outright frauds, they have returned with a scurrilous allegation that Dr Armah is seeking to deceive market women with an offer of assistance to access funds from the Coronavirus Alleviation Programme announced by His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. This is patently false and little more than the product of a fevered imagination.
Indeed, the process for accessing this fund has, in the wisdom of the president, been made absolutely transparent and open to all who desire to do so. Those wishing to apply may do so at www.nbssighcap.com without the assistance of this campaign or anyone else.
We would like to assure members of the New Patriotic Party in Kwesimintsim that neither this campaign nor anyone involved in it is engaged in any such activity and urge all to disregard this pathetic form of politicking which benefits no one apart from its unscrupulous purveyors.
This campaign has, from the very beginning, been focused on the issues, in particular the welfare of the long-suffering polling station executives to which the party owes its very survival. Even before announcing his candidacy, Dr Armah, as a grassroots activist himself who empathises with the rank and file of the party, has worked tirelessly to assist party executives, including over one hundred and twenty who were able to receive loans from the Micro and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) through his instrumentality. Others have also been assisted to gain jobs, transfers and school placements. This record is obvious to all so Dr Armah does not need to resort to empty tricks at this stage in the campaign to gain an advantage.
This is the message we have been canvassing in the campaign and we will continue to do so. We urge others to place their competing vision and record, if they indeed have any, before the distinguished delegates so they can make an informed choice.
Laughable tricks of this nature are below us all, are disrespectful of delegates and demean the sanctity of the electoral process.
Signed
Jojo Bossman
Director of Communications
