Truck drivers at the Tema port have announced that they will go on strike on Monday, May 6, 2024.
The drivers are protesting a number of issues, including armed robberies, harassment by uniformed officials, and wrongful incarceration. They are urging for prompt action to solve these issues.
The drivers announced in an official notice that no trucks will be operating at Ghanaian ports on Monday, May 6.
They have also announced intentions to host a news conference on the same day at the JAPTU Ghana Secretariat in Tema Port.
