The Ghana Police Service has deployed more officers to Ntwitwina, near Wassa Nkonya in the Western Region, to hunt for a gang of robbers who attacked a gold-buying shop on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, and shot three people.
Previously, a special police team comprised of investigation, intelligence, and operational officers was deployed to increase security in the town and surrounding communities.
A police statement assured the public that the robbers would be apprehended and prosecuted.

The news follows the arrest of several robbery suspects in the area on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
The four suspects were apprehended by police in a special anti-robbery operation while fleeing the scene of the crime.
