Patricia Christabel Kyerematen, Alan Kyerematen’s wife, has lauded her husband’s qualities, calling him the sincere and forward-thinking leader Ghana needs.
Speaking to the media following Mr. Kyerematen’s departure from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Patricia declared that the nation was at a turning point and need a leader like Alan to guide it forward.
“I think we can all agree that the signal is clear and there is a good chance that this will occur. Ghana needs Alan Kyerematen because he is a good man, an honest man, a man with vision, and all of those things.
At a special address held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Mr. Kyerematen renounced his membership in the NPP and announced his intention to run as an independent in the 2024 elections.
“Under the circumstances and given the context provided, I wish to use this platform to announce that I am
that I am honourably resigning with immediate effect from the New Patriotic Party to contest for the high office of the President of the Republic of Ghana in the 2024 General Elections, as an Independent Presidential Candidate.”
In addition, Kyerematen reaffirmed his commitment to tackling the nation’s urgent problems, such as social welfare, economic development, and job creation. He claimed that his choice to run as an independent was motivated by his conviction that using this strategy will enable him to more effectively advance the interests of the Ghanaian people.
Nothing is impossible if God allows it, Madam Patricia told the reporters, adding that her husband will take over as president of Ghana following the 2024 elections.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) referred to Mr. Kyerematen’s departure as regrettable and announced that on Tuesday, September 26, the Party’s leadership would give a speech at its headquarters.
