A gas booster station near the Tema Oil Refinery caught fire Friday morning.
The source of the fire is uncertain, although the station’s operators, Quantum Gas, believe that someone smoking nearby may have ignited the event.
The fire department responded quickly to extinguish the fire, which caused no severe damage.
According to reports, the business was moving gas from boats at the Tema Port to the booster station for distribution to terminals in the vicinity when the incident happened.
