The Central Region National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it is ready to accommodate Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Ohene Agyapong if he is willing to cross the carpet and join the NDC.
The events following the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary on Saturday, according to Prof. Kofi Aseidu, are a clear indication that the NPP is unwilling to break with its tradition of intimidating its members, particularly those from the Central Region.
Prof. Aseidu chastised the NPP government for using party apparatus to assist one of the three candidates who ran in the election.
He invited the Assin Central MP to join the NDC as a distinguished son of the Central Region.
Prof. Aseidu also stated that the NDC would win the Awutu Senya East Constituency seat in the 2024 general elections since the incumbent MP, Mavis Hawa Koomson, had lost touch with the constituency’s people.
