Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, the disqualified National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary hopeful in the Odododiodioo seat, has expressed his displeasure with the Functional Executive Committee’s (FEC) decision to ban him from participation in the NDC Odododiodioo parliamentary primary.
The FEC said in a statement that he was disqualified based on a report from the Special Committee examining the violence during the Odododiodioo Constituency vetting on October 13, 2023.
In response to the ruling, Mr Annan stated that it was incorrect and that he would seek remedies.
“I am a strong person who does not take things personally. I believe there are established protocols and other alternatives for us to seek redress if we are dissatisfied.”
“Clearly, I am dissatisfied, and I believe the decision is incorrect. As a result, I’ve also directed my lawyers to work on it,” he stated.
In an earlier statement, Mr Yarboi also condemned the Wednesday attack on the party headquarters by some of his disgruntled supporters.
