The suspended headmasters of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in the Northern Region and Fijai Senior High School in the Western Region have been reinstated, according to an official announcement.
The action followed the findings and recommendations of investigating committees for Fijai SHS and the Ghana Senior High School, which were submitted to the GES.
Douglas Haruna Yakubu, the headmaster of GHANASCO, and Seibu Fuseini, the senior housemaster of GHANASCO, were ordered to step down last month after a widely distributed video revealed students utilising toilet cubicles as dorms at the institution.
Kenneth Agbomadze, headmaster of Fijai, on the other hand, was also interdicted last month for allegedly collecting illegal fees at Fijai Senior High School.
However, the GES published a statement on Tuesday (9 May) commending numerous parties for their assistance and cooperation in forestalling such occurrences in the future.
“Management is grateful to all stakeholders for the support and cooperation in ensuring that students/learners entrusted in our care learn in a safe environment,” the statement said.
