The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has guaranteed that efforts are being implemented to prevent crowding at the various registration centres around the nation following the announcement of the postings for a total of 12,295 nurses.
The postings for the persons who enrolled to complete their one-year mandatory national service at various recognised health facilities across the nation for the 2023–2024 service year were made available by the Scheme on Saturday, June 10.
Ambrose Entsiwah Junior, the Scheme’s interim director of corporate affairs, said that preparations have already been done to lessen traffic at various registration facilities prior to validation and registration.
“I must say that with this number, we will not be expecting huge numbers at the registration centres, so there should not be any traffic. It is usually when we post the main service personnel from tertiary institutions, and we are talking about over 150,000 or so, that is when we sometimes have traffic, but with these numbers, it is not likely that we will have traffic at the various registration centres.”
At all centres across the country, regional validation and registration will start on Monday, June 12, 2023, and end on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Additionally, deployed nurses have been instructed to start their required national duty on Monday, July 3, 2023, following the conclusion of their registration and validation procedures.
