The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has stated that all institutions whose structures were demolished to make space for the construction of the National Cathedral have been adequately compensated.
According to Samuel Abu Jinapor, these institutions have been given alternate public lands to transfer their companies and activities.
Mr. Jinapor, speaking in Parliament, refuted claims that the government did not pay the impacted institutions.
He stated that all institutions that had their structures demolished have been adequately paid and are in operation across Accra.
“All affected institutions, both public and private, have been supplied with alternative locations and relocated to various regions of Accra, and they have been appropriately paid,” he added.
