Perpetual Didier is accusing some police officers of brutally assaulting her 32-year-old brother at Weija’s West Hills Mall.
Perpetual stated that her brother was scheduled to leave for Germany after spending the holidays in Ghana.
In a Facebook live stream, the tearful singer detailed the events leading up to the 32-year-death, old’s beginning with his trip to the shopping mall to buy some items.
According to Perpetual Didier’s account, the young man named Shadrach Arloo had withdrawn an undisclosed amount of money for the items when he was stopped by the police for a search.
Security officials allegedly demanded that he reveal the contents of his bag, which he claimed contained cash.
According to the gospel musician’s account, Shadrach refused to allow the officer to search him because he was afraid the officers would plant an illegal substance inside him.
Perpetual Didier advised them to go to a police station so that he could reveal the contents.
However, she claimed that this did not sit well with the officers, who shoved him to the ground and knocked him out.
She went on to say that Schadrach was shocked again with the taser after which he died.
The case was reported at Kasoa SCC Police Station, and the deceased’s body was later deposited at the Police Hospital morgue.
The musician is advocating for her brother’s justice.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is yet to respond.
