A 48-year-old woman has died after allegedly being stabbed at Sepe Buokrom in the Ashanti Region.
At 6:30 am on Monday, a 21-year-old boy who lives across the street from the deceased’s home allegedly went into her room and repeatedly stabbed her.
The deceased’s co-tenants claimed they heard a loud scream coming from her room and, after breaking into the apartment, discovered her lifeless body in a pool of blood.
Following the incident, the suspect, who has only been identified as Baafi, was later seen carrying a handgun and reportedly threatening anyone who crossed his path.
However, a few of the young people in the area mustered the courage to seize the suspect and deliver him to the authorities.
It was claimed that the deceased, Akosua Agyaa, had just recently returned from abroad, and the suspect had a falling out a few weeks prior.
The deceased’s body was transported by police and left at the morgue.
