Two minors have been confirmed deceased as a result of Tuesday morning’s torrential rain, which reportedly ruined property worth thousands of cedis at Baba Dogo in Bortianor, Ngleshie Amanfro constituency.
The building that housed the two children and their mother fell, according to eyewitnesses, killing the children.
The mother was unable to bring his two children to safety since the surging water took them away.
According to the Chairman of the Landlord Association in the neighbourhood, this is not the first time floods have killed individuals in the area. He claims that the assembly has failed to destroy several buildings around rivers.

Prior to the rains, the Ghana Meteorological Agency in a press statement warned that “Southeastern Ghana has been swallowed by a rain-bearing cloud. Rain of various intensities is falling in the Volta Area as a result of this.
The Greater Accra and Eastern regions will be hit first, before spreading to the Central, Western, and sections of Ashanti. Flash floods are expected in sections of Greater Accra as a result of the rain. Be instructed appropriately”.
