The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is launching a mobilisation effort to recruit more youth members ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The party believes it is ready to give alternative options to young people looking for a change.
In a conversation with media in Accra, Nana Kumamakuma Frimpongmaa, Chairperson of the CPP, stated that the CPP will be a third force to be reckoned with.
“Politics has become so commercialised. How do you get the system to work? CPP’s time has come again, and we must make the most of it. That is why it isn’t only about battling the system, or even having a populist posture,” she explained.
“However, the most important thing is to get people to join and own the party at polling stations in the electoral areas.” That is why we are offering the kids. The kids are eager for change. “They want Ghana to be fixed,” she continued.
On September 21, the CPP vowed to build ultramodern hospitals in all districts across the country if it wins the general elections in 2024.
Addressing the media at a CPP event commemorating Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, Nana Yaa Gyantuah, the party’s General Secretary, stated that the construction of hospitals in every district will reduce patients’ inability to access health facilities in some remote areas, thereby improving the country’s healthcare system.
